A sponsored walk for homeless people at the St. Martin in the Fields in London
We started on Thursday 21.5. from Sherborne heading off to Guildford where we slept at Vaughans friend for one night. He is the guy next to me. On the left is Barni who was part of responsible for the catering and so didn't walk. Nathaniel from PNG just came with to the station.
As we were at Guildford Cathedral for evening prayer everybody of us had a cushion to kneel on whereas I had the scallop shell the sign of all pilgrims which was kind of funny and strange at the same time.

Registration at the Church of St. Martins (next to Trafalgar Square) on Friday morning.
Vaughan is sorting out the different groups which where walking at different speeds. Everybody of the 150 people had to choose their own leader and could swop around if necessary. I ended up in the fastest group with another German guy.
We walked trough a lovely country side, in fact public footpath are a great invention.

The official Pilgrims Way. It wasn't a pleasure to walk on it because it was just straight and the sun was burning hot.

To be honest the most stressful thing was to be fed all the time. Sometimes a van just waited somewhere and you were able to get a drink and some food. Whereas mostly churches opened for all the people and provided a whole lot of sandwiches, cakes, tea and coffee. It was just a ridiculous amount of food.

Leaving on the Tuesday, we spend another night at Vaughans friend. The woman next to Barni is just his house keeper. He wasn't actually there.
